“Model Z” is a spreadsheet model based on a variety of factors including individual player talent, position group averages, as well as PPG/YPG ranks on Offense and Defense.

*Unfortunately, as a viewer you will not be able to sort and use the spreadsheet effectively, but you can view ratings. I suggest zooming out!*

Individual Player Talent: Every starting player on Offense and Defense are ranked with a score from 65 to 100 based on talent and opportunity.

Player Group Averages: Used to create the perfect “Overall Team Score”, certain player groups are weighted differently.

Position Weights:
QB1 and RB1 at 120%
WR1, TE1 and OL at 115%
WR2 at 110%
DEF (+5), RB2, WR3 and FLEX (RB3/WR4/TE2) at 100%

“StatRanks”: Created from viewing the Season Rank of YPG and PPG on Offense and Defense, these ranks are then combined to the Position Groups and Overall Team score to have a perfect mix of Player Talent and Statistical Season Performance.

Total Score (O/U) Generator: The Total Score Generator, in short, matches up the Offense Score w/ StatRank against the opponents’ Defense Score w/ StatRank. To be honest, I was most proud of this feature when I first created it because I did 3 test runs and each total was exact or .5 off of the Vegas total.

Spread Generator: The Spread Generator is the newest feature to the Model Z. Using the same model idea as the Total Score Generator, the spread takes the scores used to make the total (and altered slightly) and finds the difference aka the Spread.
